DR. REID P. TURNER – IOWA CORNEA, LASIK AND CATARACT SPECIALIST Reid P. Turner, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained corneal specialist. He is a Des Moines native who attended Central College on a Presidential Scholarship and was captain of the men’s golf team. He received his medical degree with distinction in teaching at the University of Iowa in 2012. Dr. Turner completed ophthalmology residency training at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina where he served as chief resident and received the Valloton Award for Academic Excellence. Known as the largest ophthalmology department in the country, Dr. Turner completed a fellowship in corneal transplant and refractive surgery at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
